Lanier At Sunset
This painting has quite a history. It was painted as a Christmas gift in 1985 for my late wife. The picture was from a sunset view atop a friend’s houseboat earlier that summer. A few weeks after Christmas I came home from work to find the painting in the rash can. I asked why the painting was in the trash. “ I told you I don’t like landscapes,” was the reply. I hung the picture in my studio, where it remains today.
